Annette Payne has a Physical Education degree from Dublin, Ireland. She was head of the Physical Education department of a Dublin high school for 5 years before moving to Boston in 1978. Annette has extensive experience in teaching gymnastics, dance and fitness to children of all ages and abilities. Annette has successfully developed and implemented her philosophies on family fitness for many years. She was cofounder of the Creative Movement Center in 1980, and also produced and hosted her own series of exercise shows for cable television. Since founding GymFit in 1987, Annette has devoted all her energy into developing fun, safe and creative gymnastics and movement programs for toddlers and children of all ages. In 1990, GymFit expanded its programs to include a Kenpo Karate program for children. GymFit's other programs also include Birthday parties, toddler drop off time (Playtots), Lou Lou's Music Together, open gyms, vacation camps and kids night out. In 2011 Super Soccer Stars, and Mestre Bocoio - a Capoeira master teacher brought their programs to GymFit.
GymFit has been in its present location since September 1995.
